Using three rectangles to form the letter "Z". Use gradient colors to form hierarchy and structure. With this, even if the colors are the same, it won’t let the audience feel boring visually.

Lecture

To be a great web designer is not something that just only imagine in a vacuum. Continuously strengthening one's upper limit through continuous practice, improvement and learning is a process that every designer needs to go through. Among these, design principles are the courses that every web designer needs to understand.

Purpose lays the foundation. This is the most basic and important principle. Before starting designing a web page, designer need to understand the brand's target audience and get an overall design direction by understanding the key information. In addition, content is also important. Content that is clear, useful, and able to guide users is what users want.

The main purpose of design is to attract the attention of the users. Therefore, visuals that attract users can increase user interest in a web page and increase page views. Designers can achieve these goals through high-quality photos with clear, even tones and high resolution. However, sometimes high-quality web design does not necessarily need to be supported by gorgeous photos. The harmonious design also allows users to feel comfortable and balanced while browsing the web. Therefore, typography is also one of the important elements. Typography can shape and give overall design direction. This can help designers avoid deviating from the original design direction due to too many references when designing.

Organizational unity and color tone are also considered one of the important design principles. Adhering to these two principles during the design process is something every designer must keep in mind. Only consistent design can gradually form theri own design style, allowing users to have a certain impression of the design.

Sense of space is a relatively abstract term. Appropriate spacing in the design can prevent the overall design from being too cluttered and disorganized, causing users to lose guidance when browsing the web. Finally, there is the purpose of design, aesthetics. No matter how many so-called design principles a designer uses, only the final design product that conforms to the aesthetics of a third party can be called a successful design.

Apart of introducing design principles, the lecture also included a sharing session. Every designer in the learning phase is asked to share three of the favorite web pages with the public. This can well improve each designer's aesthetic and indirectly set a general design direction for the web pages they want to design in the future. In this era of development side by side with technology, web pages will undoubtedly become an indispensable platform in the future. Thus if designer want to gain public attention among these lots of web pages, designers can only stand out with their imagination and aesthetic ability.
